
2010 Scholarship Winners Named
CMCA is pleased to announce the 2010 Ray Smith Scholarship winners for both College/University and Diesel Technician School students. This years winners are:

Adam Peterson
Tiffany Sharp
Mindy Shupe
These scholarships are targeted for applicants seeking a career in transportation or another field demonstrating a positive benefit for the trucking industry (business, engineering, etc.). Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books and supplies, lab or other fees.
Scholarships will be awarded to applicants based on demonstrated qualifications as shown on the application. All applicants must be employees or immediate family members of a CMCA member company to be considered. Applicants must be a high-school graduating senior or older person who is college-bound or currently attending a university or college. Preference will be given to Colorado residents.

Ray Smith was a visionary CMCA member who championed the need for education to improve the Colorado trucking industry's pool of trained personnel. The CMCA Ray Smith Scholarship program has assisted many students over the years and furthered that educational goal.
For 2011 CMCA Will Offer 2 Types of Scholarships
The first is for college students in transportation
related fields (business, economics, engineering, etc.).
The second is for students seeking to enter the
trucking industry as diesel technicians or mechanics.
In both cases, the scholarship program is for employees and immediate family members of CMCA member companies.
Successful applicants must complete an application and meet all eligibility requirements.
NOTE: 2011 scholarships will be open in the fall of 2010. Check this page for the announcement.
